Distinguished Colleagues, Neurosurgery Assistants and Neurosurgery Nurses,
Representatives of Medical Companies and Esteemed Guests,
The 31st Scientific Congress of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society will be held on March 29 - April 2, 2017 at Kaya Palazzo Congress Center, Belek, Antalya on the sidelines of the Neurosurgical Nursing Congress. This year's congress motto is designated as Science, Experience and Sharing. Science is core to our profession while experience stands for competence that we gain over the years. However, the only way to go forward and be more helpful to our patients is to share the scientific knowledge and experience. Sharing will also strengthen our professional solidarity.
I hope that the 31st Congress will a vibrant and scientifically solid one that will be attended by many. During this congress, leading neurosurgeons in Turkey and around the world will exchange their knowledge and experience as the content of the congress will be flourished by your contributions and our young colleagues will find the opportunity to present their scientific studies. The congress will offer many novelties along with the scientific program, pre-congress courses, morning seminars, titled conferences, panels, case discussions and video presentations. For example, a photography course will be held during this year's congress by the members whose hobby in photography has been extended to a professional level. We are planning other paramedical activities such as this one.
This year, our congress is organized according to the wishes expressed by our members during previous years. In line with your feedbacks, the registration fees have been fixed in Turkish Lira and kept within reasonable limits. A discount has been applied on registration fees for assistants and nurses. This year, accommodation fees will vary depending on the hotels that participants will stay in. In line with the industry's requests and meetings, booth fees have been fixed in Turkish Lira, as well.
I would like to request all my colleagues to provide inputs by sending their clinical and experimental studies and case presentations in an oral or a poster format. The 31st Scientific Congress of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society will be covered by the CME crediting system, which is to be in force in all European countries, within "EACCME - European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education" by "UEMS - Union of European Medical Specialists".
I believe that this congress will consolidate the scientific content as well as our collaborations and solidarity while gathering the neurosurgery family.
Hope to see you in Antalya...
Prof. Talat KIRIŞ
President of the Turkish Neurosurgery Society
